Variants of childminder care
There are different variants of childminding. You can bring your child to the childminder's place, to another parent's place, or the childminder can provide care at your home. The variants of childminding at childminding agency 4Kids are:

Childminding at the childminder's home
- You bring your child to the childminder
- You pay per child, per hour
- You are entitled to childcare allowance*
Childminding at another parent's home
There are parents who choose childcare in their own home, where children from other families are also welcome. So, you also bring your child to the childminder, but the childcare location is at another parent's home.

Childminding at your home – for only your children
Your own childminder at home, for only your children. This is the most luxurious form of childminding.
- You don't have to bring or pick up your child
- The environment is familiar
- You make agreements with the childminder about working hours, tasks, and daily routines
- You are entitled to childcare allowance*
- The childminder must receive at least the minimum wage per hour on average, regardless of the number of children being cared for
- The childminder is entitled to four weeks of paid vacation per year
- In case of illness, after two waiting days for three days of childcare per week, you are obliged to continue paying the childminder for six weeks at 70% of the wage. But at least the minimum wage
- The childminder provides childcare at your home for a maximum of three days per week
- You are not family members
Childminding at your home - for your own children and other children
With this form of childcare, you also have the luxury of a childminder at home. But because you share the childcare with other parents, you can still pay per child, per hour.
Are you a parent of one child? Or are you looking for childcare for four days or more per week? Then this option is more advantageous than childminding at your home, for only your children.
- You don't have to pick up or drop off your child
- Your child will have other children from different families to play with
- You pay per child, per hour
- You are entitled to childcare allowance*
- The childminder must receive at least the minimum wage per hour from all parents together on average
- The childminder provides only childcare. No cleaning tasks or grocery shopping
- For the days when the childminder cares for your children, you must allow the childminder to also care for children from other families in your home

Childminding by family members
A grandparent who wants to babysit. Or maybe your brother or sister. They too can be registered as childminders. The care can take place at your family member's home. Or at your home. Together, you make agreements about the hourly rate, payment during illness, and vacation.
